About the Speakers
Dr. Jackie Lebenzon
Dr. Jackie Lebenzon is a Physiological Entomologist and Assistant Professor at the University of Calgary. Her research explores how agricultural insect pests survive the winter, and how we can leverage this knowledge to improve pest management strategies for important crops. Outside of the lab, she enjoys creating insect-y art, and finding cool bugs around the Rockies and southern Alberta.
Dr. Mohammad Keyhani
Mohammad Keyhani is an Associate Professor in Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the Haskayne School of Business, University of Calgary. He has experience as Lab Strategist at the Creative Destruction Lab Rockies, and a David Rockefeller Fellow at the Trilateral Commission. His book "The Generativity Advantage" describes how to leverage distributed innovation in digital platforms. He is co-founder of HoneybeeLogic.com (making AI tools for schools), and builds experimental products like CiteFix.com (fix citations in your AI deep research reports), Lstr.cc (AI-powered list curation tools) and other things he blogs about at DigitVibe.com.
Dr. Peter Kusalik
A native of Southern Alberta, Peter Kusalik earned his MSc and PhD degrees in Chemistry at the University of British Columbia and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Australian National University. He started his academic career in the Department of Chemistry at Dalhousie University and then in 2005 moved to the University of Calgary. His research interests have centered on utilizing molecular simulations to investigate the behaviour in liquids and solids at the microscopic level, although recently have shifted to include the generation and characterization of nanobubbles. He has 129 publications, many in top venues, has an h-index of 54, and has received major research awards. He has extensive supervisory and teaching experience.

Seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Registered guests will receive priority check-in up to 20 minutes before the event begins, after which any remaining seats will be released to walk-ins.
