Field Trips: Anatomy of a Crime

  • 3245 Principal's Road Mississauga, ON, L5L 1J7 Canada (map)

Calling all squints! Step into the world of Bones for this adults-only field trip to the University of Toronto’s infamous Forensic Crime Scene House–aka the “Murder House.”

In honour of the hit TV show’s 20th anniversary, join RCIScience as we dig into the real-life science behind forensic anthropology and fundamental crime scene investigation techniques. Nestled in the woods of UTM’s Erindale Campus, you’ll investigate fingerprints, test evidence for blood, examine bones*, and hone your skills identifying trauma, decay, and more. Whether you're a diehard Bones fan or true crime junkie, it's time to grab your lab coat and channel your inner Dr. Brennan.

*NB: while the collection includes real animal bone, casts are used in lieu of any human elements.

Content warning: This workshop may contain discussions of physical trauma and death.

Please note this is an adults only event.
