This Field Trip is out of this world! We’re heading to the University of Toronto’s Astronomical Observatory to see the planets, moon, stars, nebulae and more against the backdrop of the city skyline 🔭 Equipped with two observatory domes housing an 8-inch refracting and an 16-inch reflecting telescope, get ready for stargazing in the middle of the city! 🌌And don’t miss out on a beautiful view of the Toronto skyline from the observation balcony.
Filming and Photography Notice
RCIScience will be filming and photographing this event. By attending, you consent to the use of your image and likeness being used in promotional materials.
Please let us know if you do not wish to be photographed or filmed.
Accessibility
Please note access to the observatory domes require an elevator to the 14th floor and a staircase up two more floors.
Event Logistics
Wear comfortable footwear and dress appropriately for the weather and terrain. There may be extended periods of standing.
Stargazing is highly dependent on weather. In the event of cloudy conditions, we will make an informed decision on the day and notify attendees as soon as possible via the email they register with. Back up dates will be August 20, 2025 and August 21, 2025 at the same time.

Cancellation Policy
If you are feeling unwell on the day of the event or have had a recent exposure to COVID-19, please cancel your ticket on Eventbrite or contact us so that it may be allocated to the waitlist.
